The 2024-25 Saudi Women's Premier League concluded, featuring strong competition and outstanding performances from participating clubs. Al-Nassr won the league title for the third consecutive time, cementing its position as one of the leading clubs in Saudi women's football.
This year's season witnessed intense competition, with Al-Nassr topping the standings, achieving consecutive victories and setting a record of 70 goals scored. Conversely, they conceded only 17 goals throughout the season, reflecting the team's strength in both attack and defense.
On the other hand, Al-Taraji and Al-Amal were relegated to the First Division League after falling to the bottom of the table, while Neom and Abha secured promotion to the Premier League for next season.
In terms of individual performance, several players excelled throughout the season, most notably Ibtissam Jraidi of Al-Ahli, who topped the scoring charts with 26 goals. Meanwhile, Al-Ula goalkeeper Sarah Bouhadi excelled in keeping clean sheets, thanks to her outstanding save percentage of 76.7%, recording the highest save percentage in the league.
Al-Ula's Tueni Lemos also emerged as the best player in duels with a 67.9% success rate, while Al-Qadisiyah midfielder Leah Lee Garrick excelled with 23 assists, topping the list of players with the most assists this season.
The season witnessed a remarkable development in the performance and tactics of the clubs, as this edition is considered one of the most prominent, with increasing public and media interest, reflecting the growing status of women's sports in Saudi Arabia.
90 matches were played this season, during which teams scored more than 397 goals, adding an exciting atmosphere to the competition.
For her part, Alia bint Abdulaziz Al-Rasheed, Director of the Women's Football Department, expressed her pride, saying: "We are proud of what has been achieved this season in the Women's Premier League, as we have witnessed firsthand tangible development at both the technical and organizational levels".
"This season was not just a sporting competition, but an important milestone in the journey to building a professional women's football system in the Kingdom. Through it, we have met promising national talents and international professional players who have contributed to raising the level of competition and the quality of performance. We thank all the clubs, players, and technical and administrative staff for their commitment and dedication, and we look forward with enthusiasm to the next season, which we hope will bring further progress and excellence, towards a brighter future for Saudi women's football.", she added.
