
A Saudi referees participates in the preparatory camp for referees of the Russian Football Union

An international Saudi refereeing crew participated in the preparatory camp for referees of the Russian
Football Union in preparation for the new sports season.
The Saudi refereeing team that participated in the live period that was held in the Russian capital, Moscow,
included the international referee, Abdullah Al-Shehri, the first class referee, Abdul Samad Bakri, the two
assistant referees, Ibrahim Al-Dakhil and Saad Al-Subaie, and the lecturer at the International and Asian
Football Federations, Khalil Jalal.
This step came as part of the efforts of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), in cooperation with a
number of European and continental federations in order to exchange experiences and constantly send Saudi
referees to co-exist in preparing and qualifying Saudi referees and developing them for upcoming local and
international competitions and raising the level of Saudi refereeing at all levels.
The camp included a set of theoretical tests in the law subjects and new amendments to the football law this
season, such as cases of hand touches inside the penalty area, intensive fitness tests, and exercises on video
assistant referee technology.
It is noteworthy that the camp was led by FIFA lecturers Colombian, Oscar Ruiz and Serbian, Milorad Mazic.
