The Regional Teams Championship continues with six matches daily in Al-Taif

Today, Friday, the competitions of the Regional Teams Under-13 Championship, hosted by Taif Governorate
from July 18 to 30, and organized by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, continued.
Today, 6 matches were held for the first and second groups, where Jazan won over Al-Qassim with a clean
goal, and Jazan player Ayman Hubani won the best player award, with the same result, Najran won over Al-
Sharqiya, and Najran player Hassan Al Hamsal won the best player award, while Al-Ahsa tied with Al-Jawf with
a goal form each, and Al-Ahsa player Saad Al-Eid won the Player of the Match award.

Asir defeated Tabuk with a score of 3-1, and Asir player Thamer Al-Qahtani won the best player award, while
Riyadh beat Mecca with a score of 4-0, and player Thabet Kabsh won the best player award, while Jeddah beat
Medina with a clean goal, and player Ahmed Tahlawi won the best player award. .
The young referees continued to lead the matches of the U-13 Regional Teams Championship, as today’s
matches were led by 6 refereeing teams, with a total of 24 young referees between the ages of 20 to 25 years
who lead the junior and youth matches in the Premier League.
The referees participating in the tournament represent the product of the Referees Academy, which is one of
the strategic initiatives to transform Saudi football, in addition to the referees participating in competitions of
different age groups.
Tomorrow, Saturday, 6 matches will be held on the third day of the tournament, Al-Jawf vs. Hail, Al-Sharqiya
vs. Al-Ahsa, Najran vs. Jazan, Mecca vs. Hafar Al-Batin, Tabuk vs. Riyadh, and Asir vs. Jeddah.
It is noteworthy that the Regional Teams Championship aims with the Saudi Federation to discover football
talents at an early age, in preparation for their qualification and participation in friendly tournaments for the
age groups teams, as it comes within its strategic goals in developing these groups and increasing the number
of hours of football practice and contact between the players, in a way that benefits in the future by producing
a new generation that will serve Saudi sports.
