Thursday: Draws for the Futsal Premier League and the Federation Cup

The draws for the Saudi Futsal Premier League and the Saudi Futsal Federation Cup will be held tomorrow, Thursday, via video conference at 2:30 pm at the Saudi Arabian Football Federation headquarters in Riyadh.
20 teams are participating in the Saudi Futsal Premier League, divided into 10 levels, each level includes two teams, based on their ranking last season.
The first level includes Al-Ettifaq and Al-Nasr, the second level includes Al-Qadisiyah and Maneef, the third level includes Al-Riyadh and Al-Ula, the fourth level includes Al-Sir and Al-Sarawat, the fifth level includes Radwa and Al-Ardh, the sixth level includes Al-Wadi and Al-Thaqbah, the seventh level includes Al-Majd and Al-Taie, the eighth level includes Al-Etimad and Al-Alamein, the ninth level includes Al-Raed and Al-Zulfi, and the tenth level includes Fayd and Al-Shabab.
The Saudi Futsal Premier League draw begins from the tenth level, where the first-chosen team is placed in the first group, and the second-chosen team is placed in the second group, and this mechanism is repeated until reaching the first level.
The Saudi Football Federation approved the participation of Al-Shabab team after the Al-Ittihad team apologized for participating, as well as the Al-Taawoun team, which had the best result in the quarterfinals of the First Division Futsal Championship last season.
The Futsal Premier League competitions will start on Friday, October 18.
In the draw for the Saudi Futsal Federation Cup, 16 teams will participate, namely: Al-Ettifaq, Al-Nassr, Al-Qadisiyah, Maneef, Al-Riyadh, Al-Ula, Al-Sir, Al-Sarawat, Radwa, Al-Ardh, Al-Wadi, Al-Thaqbah, Al-Majd, Al-Taie, Al-Etimad, and Al-Alamein.
The Saudi Futsal Federation Cup’s draw will be open and run randomly between the teams, and the team whose name is drawn first will host the matches.
The tournament will be played via knockout system, and starting from the quarterfinals the tournament is played by a gathering system in the city of Dammam, and the cup will start on Friday, November 1.
It is worth noting that the 2023-2024 edition of the Saudi Futsal Federation Cup has been postponed from last season, after the 2020-2021 edition was postponed due to the Corona pandemic, and the 2024-2025 and (2025-2026) editions of the Saudi Futsal Federation Cup are scheduled to be held next season.
