Social Responsibility Organizes Volunteer Program for People with Disabilities in Football

Social Responsibility at the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) organized, on Monday, the Volunteer Program for People with Disabilities in Football, with the participation of the Authority for the Care of People with Disabilities and the Jeddah Club for People with Disabilities, and the participation of 32 people.
The Assistant Secretary-General of the SAFF, Ibrahim Al-Qabaa, opened the program activities, where he welcomed the attendees, stressing the Saudi Federation's keenness to activate the role of social responsibility in organizing voluntary sports programs for various groups, which contributes to building a vibrant and effective society.
Then, the motivational speaker and human resources consultant, Hana Al-Rifai, presented the program in which she spoke about the importance of sports volunteering, especially in football, and its importance in promoting physical health, strengthening social ties, national belonging, and developing personal skills.
It also reviewed the areas of volunteering in football, including contributing to organizing football competitions in various forms, whether charitable, heritage or competitive, and volunteering in major hosting events, highlighting the most important qualities that a volunteer should have, while stating the reasons that may prevent the volunteer from succeeding in his tasks.
It is worth noting that this program comes as a first step in the social responsibility programs for volunteering for people with disabilities in the field of football, which comes in line with the goals of the administration that are consistent with the vision of the Saudi Federation within the strategy of transforming Saudi football, and enhancing the societal role of football in the Kingdom.
The program targeted ages from 18 to 35 years, and aims to contribute to organizing matches, participating in organizing sports hosting events, in addition to developing personal skills.
