Saudi Arabia is set to host AFC U17 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2025 from April 3-20, with 16 teams competing for the prestigious title.

The participating nations are: Indonesia, DPR Korea, China PR, Australia, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Oman, Korea Republic, Japan, Islamic Republic of Iran, Yemen, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, United Arab Emirates, Thailand and host nation Saudi Arabia.

Matches will be held across Jeddah and Taif at premier venues, including King Abdullah Sports City Reserve, Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City, King Fahd Sports City and Okaz Stadium.

The Final Draw is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, at 3:00 PM (10:00 AM KSA) at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event will be attended by AFC officials and representatives from participating teams.

Teams will be allocated into four pots based on the AFC’s updated seeding principles, implemented across all competitions starting in 2025. The top-eight teams from the tournament will secure their spots at FIFA U-17 World Cup 2025™, set to be held in Qatar.

Pot 1 comprises hosts Saudi Arabia, defending champions Japan, Korea Republic and Islamic Republic of Iran. Pot 2 includes Australia, Yemen, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

Pot 3 features Thailand, Vietnam, Oman and Afghanistan, while Pot 4 consists of China PR, Indonesia, DPR Korea and United Arab Emirates.

Yasser Almisehal, President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, welcomed the participating teams and expressed Saudi Arabia’s readiness to deliver an exceptional tournament.

He said: “We are thrilled to welcome all participating teams to the AFC U-17 Asian Cup. This tournament offers a platform for Asia’s brightest young football talents to shine on Saudi soil.

“Our commitment is to provide an outstanding experience for players and fans, reflecting our ongoing efforts to position Saudi Arabia as a global sports hub and demonstrate our youth’s capabilities in hosting world-class events.”

AFC U17 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2025 marks another significant milestone in The Kingdom’s growing legacy of hosting international and continental tournaments.
