The AFC has approved the entry of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation into the Asian Education Agreement, which defines the rights and duties of the AFC and the local federations that are members of the AFC with regard to Asian training licenses approved by the AFC.
The agreement specifies the minimum requirements in terms of the conditions for lecturers and learners, regulatory admission standards, duration, curriculum content, program completion, and certification. It also confirms that Asian trainers' courses are provided only by unions that have signed the Asian Education Agreement.
This agreement gives the SAFF the full right to provide training courses for coaches in Saudi Arabia at the level approved by the AFC without taking approvals according to the previous system, which is an opportunity for the federation to develop coaches based on its philosophy in football and is more concerned with designing the content of its programs.
Turki Al-Sultan, Chairman of the Technical Committee of the SAFF said that joining this agreement will contribute to the development of national coaches and to set the appropriate programs and courses in accordance with the vision and philosophy of the football management in the Kingdom.
Al-Sultan praised the efforts of Dr. Yahya Al-Sharif, the Vice-Chairman of the Committee and the member of the Education Authority of the AFC, which he made in order to approve the AFC to enter the SAFF into the agreement.
