The Saudi Football Federation granted second-tier clubs for the upcoming sports season 2021-2022 the freedom to determine the third foreign player’s category by occupying him, whether (foreign - born).
The federation indicated that if the club decides to determine the third player category as a born player, it is required that his age is not more than the age specified by the federation, but in the event that the third player category is determined as a foreign player, he is excluded from the application of the specified age and the conditions for the registration of foreign players apply to him.
This decision comes based on what was submitted by the Committee for Professionalism and the Conditions of Players in the Saudi Federation, of proposals for the league clubs, which were the result of a number of developmental meetings that were held in the last period.
