Al Misehal Elected, Unopposed, as President of the SAFF

The General Assembly of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation SAFF, elected Yasser bin Hassan Al Misehal, unopposed, as the its President and endorsed the names included in his list for the membership of the Board of Directors of the SAFF, through its fourth 4-year term: 2019-2023.
This came during the extraordinary general assembly meeting held here today.
The president-elect said that the forthcoming period is full of challenges, but that the board will work on overcoming them, in terms of administrative and technical aspects, as well.
He concluded by pointing out that his list is working to keep up with the fast pace and mobility, witnessed by the Kingdom, at all relevant levels.
The President of the SAFF thanked and appreciated His Majesty, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, on the great interest and generous support for youth, which had a profound impact on the Saudi sport and football in particular, noting the continuous follow-up by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Sport Authority and the President of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, referring to the great development that Saudi sport recently witnessed at all levels.
Yasser Al Misehal confirmed that the reception of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques - may God protect him- A few days ago, it is an honor for all athletes, noting that this is a great interest will drive the Saudi athletes to achieve more successes, in order to achieve the vision goals of our dear homeland.
Al Misehal did not hide his perception about his team’s workload at the coming stage and continuous work required, as the different Saudi national teams will take part in a lot of competitions in addition to the local competitions.
Al Misehal considered that the efforts of everyone together will be the road to success and achieving goals, stressing that they are going to complete the success path that extends for more than 60 years.
The chairman of the Elections Committee, Mr. Bandar Al-Hamidani, announced the completion of the quorum for the extraordinary general assembly, attended by 42 members. The meeting was attended by the representative of the FIFA, Sanjivan Balasingham, and the AFC representative, Mr. Ravi Kumar.
The extraordinary general assembly appointed Abdulaziz Al-Masaad and Mohamed Al-Jawhar as observers to the meeting and Musaed Al-Muwais, Suleiman Al-Aboudi and Abdullah Al-Zobair as members to review the minutes.
