
Referees' Committee concludes VAR course

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation's Referees Committee, concluded, on Sunday, The video assistant referee (VAR) course, which lasted for five days, under the supervision of committee's chairman, Fernando Tresaco.
Ten referees and 12 assistants had been tested, as this came within the protocol of the International Football Association Board (IFAB), in order to obtaining them the accredited license enable them to use the technology.
The programme started with explaining VAR law and its protocol, before making practical application in VAR room and comprehensive evaluation for each referee before it has been formally approved by IFAB.
Referees' Committee's courses will be continued with 3 courses to approve 18 referees and 24 assistant referees, with the intensification of courses to make them reach the best performances.
