The women’s national team begins Abha camp in preparation for 2 friendly matches against Bhutan

The women’s national team will continue tomorrow, Monday, in Abha, the second phase of its preparatory camp, as this stage continues until the twenty-ninth of this month, during which two international friendly matches will be played against Bhutan national team on the twenty-fourth and twenty-eighth of the same month, which makes the national team on the verge of entering the classification of the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA).
Last Wednesday, the national team completed the first stage in Salvden, Austria, which extended for fifteen days, during which two friendly matches were played against Austrian Pinzgau and ended with the victory of the national team with six goals to one, and another against Traunstein of Germany and ended in a goalless draw.
The list chosen by German coach Monica Stubb included 24 players, which included: Lama Al-Enezi - Mona Abdul Rahman - Sarah Khaled and Laila Ali (goalkeepers), Atheer Khaled - Bayan Sadaqah - Lyn Al Muhammed - Lana Abdul Razzaq - Tala Al-Ghamdi - Raghad Mukhaizin and Asrar Al-Shaibani (Defence), Farah Jafri, Lian Johari, Maryam Al-Tamimi, Noura Al-Ibrahim, Raghad Helmy, Sarah Hamad and Saba Tawfiq (Midfield), Al-Bandari Mubarak - Taqiya Rashwan - Tahani Al-Zahrani - Gouri Tariq - Dalia Abu Laban and Mubaraka Al-Saiari (attack).
German coach Monica Stubb confirmed that this camp is an extension of the technical program that was established in order for the players to reach the highest technical and physical level before facing Bhutan in friendly matches, noting in a press interview: “The first stage in Austria was very important for us on a physical level, by intensifying training and fitness sessions, the technical side played a major role, and by playing two friendly matches, we were able to identify the positive aspects and focus on them, and identify the negative aspects that we are working to develop”.
Regarding Bhutan’s friendly match: “Bhutan women’s national team started its career more than ten years ago, so it has great experience at the international level, and the match will contribute positively to achieving our goals that we set since our first day in the women’s national team”.
