The National Teams Department launched the technical programs for the first new youth teams, whose establishment aims to give a larger number of players the opportunity to represent the national teams and stand at their levels, as well as to be a tributary for the older teams in the age group during participation in continental and international tournaments, in addition to participating in highly competitive international friendly tournaments, which benefits the players.

The 19-year-old national team opened its technical program today, Wednesday, at a preparatory camp in Buraidah, which runs until the eighth of March.

The national team players conducted their training session this evening, on the reserve stadium of King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Buraidah, under the supervision of Brazilian coach Marcos Suarez, which included their application of fitness and tactical exercises.

It is scheduled that the 18-year-old national team will launch its technical program on the fourth of March, provided that the 16-year-old national team will begin its technical program on the fifth of the same month at two preparatory camps in Buraidah.

For his part, the technical director of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Nasser Larguet, explained that the launch of the new youth teams aims to preserve the players between the different age stages, and give them the technical opportunity to benefit from them in the national teams that participate in official tournaments at the continental and international levels.

Larguet pointed out that the Saudi Arabian Football Federation seeks, through these teams, to continue achieving more continental and international achievements recorded by the teams in the past period, indicating that the technical orientation in the coming period will be to establish a team for each age group between 21 and 14 years.
