Today, Friday, the Saudi Arabia Under-17 national girls’ team concluded its preparatory camp, which was held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, and lasted for two weeks.
This camp was held as a part of preparations for participating in the friendly three-way tournament for women’s girls organized by the Jordan Football Association, with the aim of supporting and developing women’s football, and gaining greater insight into the technical levels of the players.
The camp, which witnessed the participation of 25 female players, included daily training, fitness and tactical exercises, under the supervision of the Croatian coach, Stella Kotal, where the team played two friendly matches against the Lebanese national team and the Jordanian national team at Petra Stadium.
For her part, Alia bint Abdulaziz Al-Rasheed, Director of the Women’s Football Department, confirmed that playing friendly matches contributes to building confidence and enhancing team spirit, in addition to developing technical levels and gaining experience.
Al-Rasheed indicated that the main goal of holding this camp is to learn about the technical levels of female players, and to experience holding external camps for female players, in preparation for future benefits.
