The AFC U-17 Asian Cup draw put KSA alongside Uzbekistan, Thailand, China

Today, Thursday, the draw ceremony for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup finals, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was held at the headquarters of the Asian Football Confederation in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, in the presence of Captain Saud Al-Hamali, the former international player and captain of the national team, champions of the 1989 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
The draw resulted in the host national team being at the top of Group A, with the teams of Uzbekistan, Thailand and China, while Group Two included the teams of Japan, Australia, Vietnam and the Emirates.
South Korea came at the top of Group Three with the teams of Yemen, Afghanistan and Indonesia, while Group Four included the teams of Iran, Tajikistan, Oman and North Korea.
The national team qualified directly for the finals as the host of the tournament, in addition to the qualification of 15 teams from the final qualifiers: Indonesia, North Korea, China, Australia, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Oman, South Korea, Japan, Iran, Yemen, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, the Emirates and Thailand.
It is noteworthy that the matches of the AFC U-17 Asian Cup will be held in the cities of Jeddah and Taif during the period from April 3 to 20, 2025, according to its new system, as the top eight teams will qualify for The 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup, in Qatar.
