Press conference held for the finals of the second edition of the Under-13 Regional Championship in Taif

A press conference was held this Monday evening for the finals of the second edition of the Under-13 Regional Championship, organized by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation in Taif Governorate. Eight teams are participating: Riyadh, Eastern Province, Jeddah, Qassim, Al-Jouf, Al-Ahsa, Asir, and Medina.

The press conference was attended by the coaches of the participating teams: Riyadh coach Ahmed bin Naseeb, Eastern Province coach Naif Al-Duhaim, Jeddah coach Talal Al-Mishaal, Qassim coach Abdullah Al-Dakhil, Al-Jouf coach Sanad Al-Anzi, Al-Ahsa coach Hamad Al-Mubarak, Asir coach Amer Al-Kathiri, and Medina coach Fares Al-Saedi.

During the press conference, the coaches spoke about the mechanism for selecting players for the tournament, which was based on technical reports and close monitoring of the youth league competitions that produced these teams. They also discussed the most important challenges facing their work, namely maintaining the focus of players at this age, choosing the right methods for dealing with them, instilling a spirit of competition, and highlighting the importance of discipline and commitment in a player's career.

The coaches of the teams participating in the Under-13 Regional Championship emphasized that such tournaments boost players' self-confidence, provide them with a real competitive experience, and contribute to building their character and honing their talent.

The coaches also pointed out that the foundation of their work to prepare a promising future generation capable of serving the national teams relies on diverse talents, individual skills, on-field intelligence, and mental presence, in addition to learning speed and player behavior, all of which are important factors in assessing the players' level.

The coaches of the eight teams revealed that the players enter the tournament with a desire and enthusiasm that has been clearly evident in previous matches and daily training sessions, aiming to perform at their best in the tournament.
