The technical and administrative staff of the Saudi national team are continuing to implement their early preparation program for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This program is part of an approved plan that focuses on integration with clubs, stakeholder engagement, and scientific data analysis to ensure the team reaches peak physical and technical readiness before the global tournament.

This early preparation is part of an institutional approach aimed at aligning the national team's programs with those of the clubs and unifying technical, medical, and fitness efforts. This serves the best interests of both the players and the national team in preparation for the tournament, which will be held from June 11 to July 19, 2026, in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The first phase of the program involved officially contacting the clubs and informing them of the approved preparation plan. A preliminary list of 80 players from Saudi Professional League clubs was also selected. These players will be the focus of a comprehensive monitoring system that includes technical, physical, and medical aspects. In this context, direct communication channels have been established with the technical, medical, and fitness staff at the clubs. This approach reflects the genuine partnership and institutional integration between the national team and the clubs, in addition to on-site monitoring of player performance during their regular matches in domestic competitions.

During this phase, the national team's technical and medical staff are continuously evaluating the players' fitness levels and monitoring their progress during their participation in the King's Cup and the Saudi Professional League. This contributes to aligning physical training programs with the requirements of the upcoming stage.

The medical staff is also implementing a comprehensive program to measure players' physical indicators, including sleep patterns, nutrition, body fat percentage, and muscle composition. The aim is to build an accurate database to support technical and medical decisions.

Similarly, data from the performance tracking devices used by players at the clubs is being analyzed in coordination with the medical and fitness staff. Medical reports and treatment and recovery programs for injured players are also being reviewed to ensure that workloads and readiness are managed according to best scientific practices.

The national team management also aims to utilize the international break in March to monitor the teams in Saudi Arabia's World Cup group, as part of a technical analysis and strategic planning process for their opponents.

During the FIFA international window in March, the national team will hold a training camp in Qatar from March 22nd to 30th, which will include two friendly matches against Egypt and Serbia. This program is designed to assess readiness and evaluate tactical options in preparation for the World Cup.

This program reflects the Saudi Arabian Football Federation's approach, which is based on planning, integration, participation, and data-driven decision-making, thus supporting the team's readiness and competitive presence at the world's biggest football tournament.
